List

The list portlet is usually used by inpidual contributors, and it shows a list of specific records of transactions directly on the dashboard. An accountant, for instance, can see the actual invoices that are overdue on the dashboard by using this portlet, or a project manager can view his or her assigned projects.

Enable the portlet in the normal way, by using the Personalize Dashboard option and then choosing the specific list you wish to view. You can then specify the number of records that you want to see in the portlet. The list will be pided into pages, based on the total number of records pided by the number you specify for each page. This is a good tip: if the company has 10,000 invoices, then it's probably not a good idea to choose invoices in the list portlet, because there is no way 10,000 invoices can be viewed on one page. Paging through the list defeats the purpose of having the list directly available on the dashboard:

Therefore, it is better to filter the list. For instance, filter by overdue invoices, because otherwise using this portlet for that function becomes difficult.
