Cattle Egret

The Cattle Egret is about 50 cm in length. During the breeding season, the long back feathers in the center, the head, neck, and upper chest are canary to orange-yellow; the abdomen, back and two rib areas are white. The Cottle Egret has the yellow bill, red iris, yellow lore, and the tibia and toes are dark brown. After the breeding season, like chicks, the iris turns to yellow. With the long back feathers shed, the whole body becomes white.
